Default Major problems

I have a 2000 dodge ram with the 5.9. My check engine light came on so i got the code at autozone and it came up as p1757 Governor pressure above 3 psi at 0 mph probable cause internal transmission failure or Open or shorted circuit condition. I had this before and used sea foam trans tune and it alleviated the problem. Now it's back with a vengeance, I did both sea foams (trans tune and original in the vacuum/gas tank). The truck doesn't want to shift gears, it will rev to 5000 with a 1/4 throttle and i have to completely let off and get back on to make it shift. When its not in gear about 3000-4000 rpm the engine backfires. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Drop the trans pan, see what you find. If it isn't too ugly, check the governor pressure solenoid and sensor.

Yes, but I used the Sea Foam Trans tune, not the normal sea foam

Oh, ok. Stay away from adding anything to your tranny. They are band aids.

But you need to check your pan first to see if there are any nuggets in there.
