Default Will these lift springs work on a 2WD

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLF-143/Application/?query=Year|1998|Make|DODGE|Model|RAM+1500|Engine+ Size|5.2L%2f318|Submodel|ST

It says application 4WD, but was just wondering if they would work the same on a 2WD.

Reason I'm asking is because I can't seem to find 2.5 lift springs and control arms for a 2WD anywhere.

Don't think they will work.

Also, shouldn't need control arms for 2.5 inch lift. Could go with coil spacers?

NO they will not work.

Summit sells daystar spacers for 2wd trucks though

I have spacers on there now, but since they won't work I'll ask.

If I found lift spring for a 2WD would they give me a smoother ride, than with the coil spacers? Thanks

Depends on the spring. Some will, some won't. I think it would be more a function of your shocks...... (spring rate plays a role here as well, along with spring design.... linear, or progressive rate, etc.)

Okay Thanks, will probably stick with the spacers and get new shocks. As the shocks are still the original ones from the factory. Probably doesn't help with the ride at all. lol
