Default Whats a 95 1500 worth?

Hi, just a quick question. I'm looking into getting a "cheap" truck that i don't have to break the bank with. I came across one one ebay, it's a 1995 Ram 1500 4x4 with only 83000 miles. Only a regular cab but it was owned by a Dodge factory mechanic and meticulously taken car of. The pictures are immaculate, not a stitch of rust. The seats were always covered, the interior is perfect, it's a manual, and the only place where the paint is scratched is the bed just a bit. It's been in Maryland its whole life but supposedly garaged at all times and never driven in the snow etc. My question is, what is something like that worth? I mean only one owner, the engine cared for very well, it's a manual-what can go wrong? Only 83000 miles i could run that thing for years! But it's still hard to spend so much on a 17 year old vehicle :P What do you think?

KBB on the truck being manual and 83K is around 3K for it in great shape. I didn't give it any options, but that only marginally increase the value, unless it is fully loaded.

Make sure you let the guy know that sure it was taken care of but bottom line is its a 17 year old truck.

You gotta get to it and really check it out and give it a good test drive. JMO

He wants 6500 for it. It still has original tires-thats how easy it was driven. Mobil 1 since first oil change. He said he would refund 500$ for tires so that brings it down to 6000, but you still need new tires lol. It's pretty much fully loaded. Power everything including a hard cover tonneau for the bed. Also, tow package. According to him the NADA value is something like 6800, not sure where he's getting that from, but from what i hear thats a good engine/tranny? And sure it's old but if the body and interior are like new, what can go wrong?

If it's a v-8, it's probably a 318, and the trans is the nv3500..... kinda weak as manual transmission go.....

What zip code is the truck in?

Even completely loaded with all you included, still the KBB is $3,700, seems like he is putting A LOT of sentimental value on the truck but the value is NOT there if he wants $6,500 for it.

Yeah it's the 5.2 engine. I'm not sure, he said he's located right out of D.C., about 45 minutes from Baltimore

the manual wasnt offered with the 5.9 so yeah I bet its the 318...I bet hes in no hurry to sell it for less...and depending on condition...its only a matter of time before someone meets him half way between book and his expected value....

For me personally, wouldn't offer more than 4k for it max. It's only a regular cab, regardless of the condition, the value is not there for me to pay more. This is my opinion.

If you go and love it and pay 5,500 for it, sweet! The price matters to you, if your ok with it I say go for it!

Sounds like a good condition truck.
