I'd make an effort to figure it out if I were you. If for nothing else, but to keep some thing else real bad from happening.

hmm, a quick scan shows 1 thing about the terminals 3 and 4

ABS/Brake Light

I have a 99 Ram 1500 4X2 with the same problem! I replaced the RWL sensor and it still comes on intermittently. I have had no luck with the codes either

haven't had time to trace the wire coming from the rear diff sensor.
