Angry I need help!!!!!!!

i have a 95 dodge ram 1500 5.2 v8. i bought it for $2700 and half way home i noticed the oil light came on and i had 0 oil psi i changed the oil and filter and also the sending unit the light stopped coming on and i had good oil psi for about a week then the light came on and i lost psi any ideas?

You should post this in the 2nd Generation Ram section. There's guys there that can help. But I'd think 1) Worn main bearings 2) Bad oil pump.

Good luck! I would guess the same as Mantis did. Did start knocking and tapping when the light came on?

bad main bearing and major engine problems usually wouldn't make oil psi intermittent. What I would do Is drop your oil pan and take a look at you pick up screen. The screen could be sludged as well as the tube. While your under there you might as well put a pump in though with a new pick up tube and screen and oil pan gasket. This maintenance is well worth your time and money.

put in a melling high volume pump with clean or new pickup and you'll probably be fine.

if your rear mail seal is leaking replace it too.
