Default ATF leak

Is there supposed to be a gasket between the transfer case and the transmission? It looks like I have a leak between those two. I cleaned up and dried the whole area with brake clean. The next day I poured some of that leak detector stuff into the transmission, drove it all day, then checked it with my black light and special glasses, and I noticed the leak coming from there.

Pulling down the transfer case looks like a lot of work to fix a tiny leak on a truck that I drive maybe 3000 miles a year.

Rear output seal on trans, or, input seal on T-case is leaking. If it isn't bad, just keep an eye on fluid level. If it makes you nervous, drop the t-case, replace both seals.

There's not much of a seal when the T-Case and Tranny meet. Just go buy some cheap RTV, literally only 2 dollars, drop the transfer case with a friend after taking out the rear drive shaft, apply some RTV the tranny, and have a friend hold the transfer case up as you bolt it in. Wait overnight, check fluid levels, add ATF as necessary, then check for leaks. It's a good idea to just fix it now and get it over with. Small investment goes a long way.

There is NO gasket or sealer for between the TC and tranny. As a matter of fact, if you look on the bottom where they meet, you will see a hole(weep hole). If it's leaking than the problem is either one of the issues that HeyYou has stated.
