Mopar air-gap intake...should I buy it
So my plans with this truck is to make it quick and still be able to haul medium loads. It is a 318 auto. I already have installed a exhaust with a single in dual out flow master, K&N extreme 14x3, and rebuilt the trans with a 2k stall converter. I have a little extra money this month and was looking at either headers or intake manifold. But I can only afford some cheap no name headers right now. If anyone has tried these please chime in. But there is A few Mopar air gap intakes on eBay for $169 shipped brand new. Question is, with my current mods is the intake to much? I'm thinking of a bbk throttle body and some 1.6 rr's too. And what is my best option for tuning it.
Look Very Carefully at the M1's or Air Gap manifolds. More than one person has been burnt getting one only to find ITS NOT FOR F.I. An F.I. intake should run you 400-600 new. Most ones listed at 200 or under are the carb versions. Just an FYI.
Apperntly the people who have got the air gap like it.
Unless you see a cam upgrade in the immediate future just get the non adjustable 1.7 harland sharp roller rockers.
And SCT custom tuned by hemifever is apparently reall awesomec, I haven't got one yet
