I drive a 1995 25008 V10 4x4, today it developed a problem.

My brake lights are staying on. I wouldn't have noticed it if it wasn't for the trailer brake controller being stuck at 99 when I got out of the truck This is what I have done.

1. Unplugged brake controller
2. Reset brake switch
3. Unplugged brake switch

Would imagine if the switch is unplugged they would shut off, right, because they didn't.

This was the culprit. The relay just below the fused box attached to the fender.

Any thoughts?

were you able to find that part? I have a 96 3500 and I unplugged the trailer brake controller and my lights stopped working. Looked at this relay on the fender and it’s about rusted out. Thank you

I don't think it's a relay, not enough wires.... Maybe a circuit breaker? Take it off and have a close look at it, might be a part number on there somewhere.
