Default 96 1500 dodge 5.9l 2wd sparks but no start

We replaced the entire ignition system and tested the plugs, we get a spark when we crank it but doesn't start. There is something about flash module service on the hood and we are getting adequete fuel and we have tried starter fluid with no luck. Any ideas? Please help!

Are you getting fuel? What is the pressure? Are injectors firing?

What is the sound when it cranks? kinda lopes? if so, it sounds like a crossed wire. check your Plug wires at the distributor. if they are correct, check the fuel pressure like gdstock said, You can download a manual for the truck here in the forums.

P.S i have a 96 aswell, but more problems!

What should the fuel pressure be? Also, we have used ether on it to no success and it doesn't throw any codes when we scan it.

Where did you check for spark? At the plugs? Or at the coil?

Fuel pressure should be right around 49PSI.

Both the plug and the coil. We get fire but no start. Is that 49psi running or starting?

It should get close as soon as you turn the key, and get there while cranking.

Did you pull a couple plugs to see what they look like?

The plugs are all good and the wires as well. Could it be an ecu issue because it isnt throwing any codes?

Need three things for the engine to run. Spark, which you have, air, which I would certainly HOPE you have..... and fuel. Need to verify pressure, and if you have good pressure, need to see if you are getting injector pulse. (you can pick up a noid light to test for that at the parts store for ten bucks or less...)

You have fuel and spark. I'd say, Clogged cat. Blown plenum. Unscrew the o2 and I bet it will start.
