I would stroke the little 318, I've heard it revs up faster than a 408 plus a 390 just sounds meaner!

seams logical since he can't apparently use his NV4500 on the cummins.

A custom flywheel that allows the mounting of a v10 out Cummins clutch and a360 bellhousing. But I very highly doing the OP has done this

Calling a company and 1) having them advise a V10/diesel disc that will match a V8 pressure plate, or 2) having a clutch custom built for his application.

Or what backwoods said....

Or drilling a v8 flywheel for the v10/diesel pattern.

I would think all you would really need is the V-10/Diesel clutch, that isn't too large to fit into the V-8 pressure plate..... which really wouldn't surprise me if you could use all stock pieces, and make it work. Would have to do something about the pilot bushing though...

Pilot tip is the same diameter for both inputs.

That's what I meant by finding a disc to match the pressure plate. Just to make sure the friction surfaces line up.
