Default Rear Wheel ABS not working.

My Truck has the rear wheel ABS system (I think), it is not activating when the wheels lock up.

Any specific things I should check? Could it just be a fuse?

Thanks for any assistance.

99 1500 4x4, 5.9L

EDIT: Confirmed it has RWAL, Only brake lines going to front wheels, wire and brake line going to rear wheels. Im assuming that is how one checks if they have 2 wheel or 4 wheel?

Mine has RWAL as well, and it doesn't work either.... even though everything in the whole system checks out just fine. My conclusion? The RWAL on these trucks is worthless.

Just for the heck of it, is there anything you could think of that I could check?

If the ABS light isn't on, so far as the PCM is concerned, everything is working just fine..... for certain definitions of 'working'..... the RWAL in these trucks is pretty much useless.. So long as the light isn't on, your speedo works right, your rear brakes are adjusted up nice, that's as good as it gets.

Mine works fine. You have to lock them up really hard for them to work, and I notice it more at faster speeds.

I pushed my brake pedal a bit to hard (or I was going a bit to fast ) up to a stop light the other day (55 mph zone), and it went yellow. Almost locked them up towards the end of the braking so I wouldn't barely run the red light. The RWAL worked, I felt/heard it kick in and out.

+2 Mine only works when I hammer the shiite out of the brakes doing over 45 mph.
