Default Follow up on my truck fire!

Hey everybody...Good news!! I have been MIA on here for about a week and a half now because I have been searching frantically all over the Bay Area for more 1995 Dodge Ram 1500's but I went back to Pick N' Pull and the good news is that my baby was actually not crushed, but rather put into the yard so I had access to it! Not only was I able to take photos of the muffler but I sawed for 2 straight days while laying on my back until the thing fell off and I took it, along with the exhaust pipe I wanted, home with me. Hopefully now with these photos, someone here can help me identify what kind of muffler I have! My friend is under the assumption that it's just stock but it's no where near as the muffler on my new truck which is a 5.2 L as opposed to the 5.9 my original truck that burned in the fire was. I plan to have the muffler I got off the burnt truck put on my new one, I have to have it inspected first of course, but hopefully someone can tell me what kind of muffler this is? I'm attaching photos of the muffler, Lance Senior who caught on fire, Lance II who is the new truck, and will add more photos later. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Here's my original story of how my first truck, Lance, caught on fire:
I was hoping to get a little help with figuring out what kind of muffler my old 1995 Dodge Ram had on it. This truck was my baby. His name was Lance and he was my first vehicle. Sadly, he caught on fire last week while I was driving home from school and blew up. I had to jump out into traffic on the freeway and watch months of hard work and money go out the window while losing a friend at the same time I was very fortunate to escape with only 3 burn marks. But anyways, the truck was completely totaled and I loved owning a Dodge so much I went out and bought the same exact truck again. The only difference is that my new one is a 5.2 L, as opposed to a 5.9 but it's still a V-8. The guy who owned the first truck before me drove it to California from Texas and I am not sure if the muffler was stock or not but I was hoping someone could help me identify what kind of muffler my old truck had on it? I'm assuming it's a Flowmaster, I just don't know which one. The only problem is that the photos I have of it are of the exhaust pipe but based off of what I was told by a friend, only a certain brand of Flowmaster has pipes this large so hopefully one of you who knows their stuff about Dodge's can help me identify what muffler I should get for Lance II? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I acquired Lance in horrible condition. I had to re-do a LOT of stuff: http://i39.tinypic.com/110aafs.jpg

If you look carefully on the right, you will see a red wire dangling. That is where the subs were originally connected to the fog lights which played a role in the fire:

Muffler is Flowmaster, or one of the cheap copies.

Your truck has been in the yard for less than two weeks, and the rear axle is already gone? Was a sharp lookin' truck. Congrats on the new acquisition though.

WOW how did you know that just from looking at the poorly lit photos I posted!? I am impressed. Yes it is gone. They move really fast at the Pick N' Pull's around my area. Do you know by chance what type of Flowmaster it was? Judging from the sound, I would guess a 40. My dad originally said he thought I had a stock muffler and it was just loud because the truck had 182,000 miles on it but I didn't agree. And thanks! Lance II is going into the muffler shop on Thursday!

No clue on which particular one..... measure it out, and then compare sizes to new ones.

No, that is most certainly NOT stock. The stock muffler led a previous life as a 55 gallon drum. Them fellers are HUGE.

I used to do exhaust on a regular basis.

Why did you have "SUBS" connected to the factory fog lights?

Dude nooooo that was not me. That was the dumbass who owned the truck before me. I disconnected the truck battery and clipper the sub wires down to bare minimum. I'm not stupid like the previous owner apparently was...

The pick and pull places here in Omaha usually pull good parts like that and sell them individually.
