Default 01 ram stripping down

My parents have an 01 ram quad cab 2ws they parked after numerous issues. Anything from driver door issues down to engine sensors.

I wajt to strip it down, computer, sensors. Whole 9 yards and make a drag truck out of it.

Im sure my next part may make a few purists mad. But i want to stuff my BB Chevy 427/th350 combo in it for a powertrain. Mainly cause i dont have any mopar go fast parts as of yet.

Is this possible to do? I will have mechanical guages. hei ignition, most likely msd and a dual carb setup.

Not to mention the place to work on it, and the equipment to work on it with.

If you have a 427, I can see why you would want to use it, but, if you are gonna go chevy, go BIG, 454. Stroke it!!! 500+ cubes will get ANYONES attention. Better have a STOUT rear end though, I bet you can blow up the 9.25s without even breaking a sweat.

Are you saying you want to sell parts off of the truck since your are stripping it? would you sell the fabric from the back seat bench?

Very tru now that you say that. The torque from the 427 would eat a th350 alive now that i think about it

Fix the door and sensors and sell it for a GM shell. Seems like a lot of work for something that's not going to be worth anything when you get done. Just sayin...
