what mods are on the truck? factory size wheels?...this all makes a difference.. also many folks dont know lack of a tailgate or driving with it down actually hurts your gas mileage... mythbusters proved that you get the best mileage with it open only about a 3rd.... also a toneu cover help gas mileage... but yeah if you need to drive a lot for work my advice is to park it and get a gas saver clunker to drive...

they can burn gas. just not 100% gas. maybe about 25% gas 75% used motor oil. i know of a diesel mechanics that has done it but they know what they are doing and if it breaks they can fix it.

235/75R15? that don't seem right. you should have 16's not 15's

I'm curious why? Due to the lines of a pickup having the tailgate up should reduce the drag on the truck by creating a negetive pressure area in the bed that most of the air passes right over making it more areodynamic?....
Is the front of your truck much lower than the rear?

You can make a gas engine run on 50% picle juice or **** as long as its mixed with a flammable liquid and is overall still flammable using the Geet-Pantone system.... not vey flexible for automobiles setup but many have converted gas generators and lawmowers and such to them...they burn super clean as far as emissions too..
