are the 2 bad cylinders next to each other? if so its very likely you have a blown head gasket... when they blow this way the compression leaks from one cylinder to the adjacent one... and you consume coolant usually...(slowly) ... I'm gonna get hell for suggesting this but you might have great luck sealing it up with something like bars leak or blue devil.... if you gonna swap the motor out anyway you might want to give it a shot. I've seen videos on youtube where its sealed up some big leaks for a long time.

Yours could be just a gasket..Mine only had one cylinder that had 0psi the rest were ok. One place said it was an exhaust valve another said rings..on a motor that only has 7000 miles on it..I just decided to go the easiest way and start anew..

well I took of the pass side head and the gasket looks decent , what I did notice is that the #2,4 pistons r at the same depth in thge cylinder ... Is that the way its suppose to be and the 6,8 pistons r at the bootm of the cylinder about the same ... I assume that they r suppose to be staggered .... does that mean anything? and as far as the head it looks decent alot of carbon build up at the top of the cylinder....does this mean that Im gonna end up having to "throw a motor at it "
