Yeah, those bearings need to come out. Make sure you get the oil holes in the new bearings lined up with the holes in the block when you install them.

Did your alternator come that color? Or did you paint it?

If that timing chain's not a double roller, it should be.

Yea I made dang sure that the oil holes lined up. Bearing #4 was a pain to line up! had to take it out twice. I ended up putting a small mark directly above the oil hole on the bearing, I then lined up the mark with the threaded hole for the spider arms that hold down the lifter's guide plates

I painted the alternator orange along with other parts, and yea, it is a double roller timing chain. the old old stocky one was looser than...

Besides having really bad bearing, I also had 3 SUPER sticky lifters. them bastards wouldn't come out!

what cam did you go back with? stock or bigger?
