i have a 2002 ram 2500. the gear indicator cable is broken right at the gauge cluster. i take it that it is servicable. also what are the procedures to remove the cluster from the truck.

You've got a few options even though I've not had to experience this conundrum:
1) Take it to a shop and call it a day.
2) Get a Haynes service manual from any autoparts store.
3) Find the following subforum 2nd Gen Ram FAQs, DIYs & How To's and there is a thread that contains links to downloading (pdf file) the Factory Service Manual (FSM).
4) Similar to No. 3, there is also a thread that contains download to the Parts Manual too!!

That's 2 indicator cables I need to find at the JY. I'll try and get to it tomorrow. But as stated, get a manual! And I think an 02 2500 is the same animal as a 2001. So go to the FAQ/DIY section and download the free 2001 FSM.
