offroadjosh is dead on. IF you did get a little kick the first time you tried starting it again, It could just be bad fuel....

I am going to go test it for spark right now and yesterday I tested for codes and there were none.

I filled up with fuel early that morning at the same service station the truck is currently sitting at. I asked if anyone else had any problems that day and they said no.

I did have this happen once before but the truck started right back up and that was over a month ago.

I do have a remote starter but that is all hooked up correctly, every wire accounted for and connected.

try disconnecting auto start. also just a heads up even if they had had 50 people with same problem as you 99% of gas stations would NEVER admit to it. if you can drain some fuel and see how it looks. before all that though, take a min and swap the relays around and see if you can get it to fire. swap fuel for starter and asd for ac. see if you can get it to start.(just to rule out a bad relay) check fuses as well. is there an inertia switch for the emergency engine kill like there is on the fords? any chance one of those could suddenly trigger with out an accident?

I 'm with josh about the fuel pump relay, used to carry a spare in the glove box of my volvo. it happens more then people think.
Check the 710 cap.

I got the truck back from the service station (didnt want to tow it home and mess with it myself), they told me they changed the cam shaft positioning sensor.

The mechanic said it took a while to diagnose it as it was not throwing a code but they eventually figure it out and replaced it.

He also said there was some corrosion in the under the hood fuse box and that I should clean it up.

I drove the truck home just fine and went to start it the next morning and it was the same problem as before (turns over but never starts).

I took out all the under the hood fuses today and everything looked fine but the truck will not start.

If the cam sensor was the problem and it was replaced the problem should be fixed right?

One would think so.... What are you NOT getting? Fuel, or spark?

I don't know any service stations that I would trust to work on any of my vehicles......it is not like the good old days where good mechanics could easily be found. What we have now are "parts swappers" who charge for time and the parts they swap, whether it fixes the problem or not.

Disconnect battery for a few minutes and try again. Also check fuel and spark as referenced previously.......something is missing!

The service station said there was no spark.

I am stuck at home with the truck right now and will have to tow it to my shop tomorrow to do much of anything. I have a spark tester and most everything else there.

I pulled every fuse and they all seem fine except the relay under the hood called "ASD" relay just started ticking like crazy even when replaced by another relay.

Maybe take a look at the schematics and see waht has to be high to engage ASD relay, and what would cause it to switch intermittantly.

Looks like from searching around 9/10 times its the computer/pcm.

Does anyone know if you can just get a JY one or do you have to have it programed to your truck?
