Default Ram Window Tinting question..

I have a 95 ram single cab and am looking to get it tinted.
I have a few questions for you guys. . .

First of all would you even bother with the 4 inch allowed window strip we can have in CO? The cost difference with is only 16-40 dollars.

2nd of all what percentage would you get all around? I don't want to be blind at night but I do like the darker look.

Lastly I have two brands to compare, one shop uses solar guard 's supreme line of tint and would do the whole truck with the strip for 145 or 119 without the front window strip.
The competitor uses llumar 's formula one brand and would do the whole truck for 160 or 120 without.

What do you all think? examples of your tints and experiences or pictures are greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

For the strip, its personal opinion. The darkness, check your states laws.

I personally wouldn't go any darker than 15-20% on the front windows. Now for the back you could go all way to 5% as that's damn near what the factory puts on the back of these anymore. You're call though. I like to keep it all even but I have the 15-20% on my Durango right now.

Thanks man. How do you like it between day and night? even is nice the four inch strip is 20 bucks but might as well forget it as whats four inches of view blocking. any opinions on the brands? I believe CO has a 27% limit.

I dont know I took mine to a shop and had them do it. Much faster and better work than I could do. I would say that night driving is fine. I'm used to tint on the windows though. You might not like it at first but it really adds extra protection at night too. People cant see in your rig as easily.

I've got 10% on my truck and I am very happy with it. The strip is up to you whether or not to get it done. I had 5% limo tint on my cobra and I ended up taking it off cause I couldn't see anything at night.

I have 18% all around, in addition to what was on the back already. Depending on your state laws, this is perfect for me, not too dark at night, but still nice dark look, especially since no one in Wyoming cares... But be careful if you go less than what's the limit in CO.

The wife has 20% all around on her Accord, we actually bought it tinted. I will admit it took me a little while to get used to it at night, but now no big deal. I am looking to get my Ram tinted, just the fronts, even though in PA ANY tint on fronts is illegal... oh well fine me...
