98 2500 power options

Default 98 2500 power options

so i just bougt a 98 2500 as a tow rig and was wondering what would be some cheap power upgrades or easy to do if i could get 100hp plus that would be sweet . thank you for replys

Fix the plenum.
New O2 sensors.
Full Tune up. (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pcv valve from the dealer.)
New timing chain and gears.
SCT tuner.
Harland Sharp 1.7 ratio roller rockers.
headers.
high flow cat with y-pipe. (or, a better flowing exhaust in general. no cat at all if you can get away with it.)

that stuff will run ya right around a grand. Maybe a bit more.

Really wanna make it tow good? Re-gear..... (700 to 1600 bucks, depending on 2 or 4 wheel drive.....)

There is a LOT of neat tricks you can do with der diesel, 12v or 24v? And yep, diesel forum would have MUCH better info for ya.
