I would follow the procedure to the letter. They don't want the engine at TDC, the mark is like 147* after TDC for number one.

Ok, Thanks. I wasn't for sure and thought I would ask. I hope either I can turn it by hand or find a wrench that fits since the heads are on and torque correct. I have to run to a machine shop Monday to hopefully get two bolts that the head look rough and not trustworthy to torque on. If not, Maybe Dodge dealer may have them in stock. I have to run there for that valve piece the hose from the boost attaches to. I broke it trying to get it out to clean it. I have a new PCV valve for the other side. parts place said they dont carry it. I pressure washed the valve cover clean. If you can think of anything else I may want to look at or change. let me know. Thanks

On the driver side there's a pvc valve that runs to the power booster. how would you locate that part? I need to replace mine.I have searched several wys on these auto parts stores but they dont show it. is that a dodge service center only part?

Shouldn't be a valve...... Should just be a hose that runs from the manifold, to the booster. Which end seems to be the problem?

It where the hose meet the plastic elbow that on the valve cover. I was trying to get it out to see if I could clean it. I broke it when fighting the hose off. I have tried searching for it but not exactly sure what its called. I was using the term PVC but couldn't locate it. its just like a elbow.

That one should go to the air filter housing, not the brake booster..... They have them in the 'help' section at the parts store though. Don't recall the techno-speak name for it..... explain it to one of the parts guys, they should be able to help you out.

Thanks, Went to Dodge today and got a new one with new seal so I'm good to go there. I'm slowly moving forward.

Now here is the golden question. why not just put the torque pounds in rather than the inches to lbs? dang, I have to divide everything to know my torque needed. got the intake and throttle body back on and the valve cover are setting in place. hooked up a lot of things including injectors. Have to help my boss tomorrow, so thats going to delay me a little. replaced the heat sensor in the intake and new thermostat, pvc and the crank case breather. Once i do something , then I feel better when completed. Thanks for all the help and information guys.
