I will try to read your mind, since the post is kinda vague. Your looking to lift the truck? A set of shocks set to the amount of lift in the truck would be recommended. IF you get the stock ones to bolt up after the lift, you will blow them out shortly after the first hard bump in the road or off road session. Brake lines may or may not be an issue( i am thinking not with the amount of lift). You mentioned you recently had an alignment done? If you don't mess with any of the steering, you should be ok. But have you considered the track bar angle? You may need to make an adjustment to that to keep proper steering. I just used up my mind reading powers for today. A little more information goes a long way, there is ALOT of very knowledgeable people here. But we can't help you if you don't help us.

You will need an alignment after the install. The lift changes the steering geometry...... (at the very least, the steering wheel won't be centered....) Shocks, brake lines, and such should be fine with only 2.5 inches up front.

Check your local parts stores. They usually have some fairly inexpensive stuff laying about.

Or you can order them from say Jegs, Summit Racing, or another online parts store. The local parts stores would have them too. I recently put some high end Monroe shocks in my truck and love them. I would reccomend them to someone.

If your selection criteria for shocks (and other parts) is "cheap" you may want to rethink. Cheapest is seldom the best, as far a safety, longevity, and reliability.

My personal opinion - if you are going to spend money on a non-essential mod (like lift components) and go cheap of saftey compnents like shocks, the process is flawed and backwards. Keep critical parts and use the best you can afford and hold off on non essential mods.

Check local parts store to see what they carry. I put Gabriels on a while back - they were on sale -buy 3 and 4th is free rebate. Monroe makes a good shock, just don't get their cheapest - look at midrange. I avoid the "no name" products in most cases.
