Level kit
If you have an Auto Zone or O'Rielly near you, they will loan you the spring compressers for free.

If no need to go higher then there is really no need to change what you have. If you want to go higher then you could add the springs under your level kit, but you will have to change other parts as well

Check the length of current shocks. If they will not extend enough, then yes, you need longer or they will be yanked apart. They should have a couple inch longer stroke than then the truck is parked on flat ground. Ideally, the at rest dimension between shock anchor poinst should be middle of the stroke of shock.
I just put a 2.5inch level kit on my 97 dodge ram 1500 sport and didnt need to compress the springs at all. but it was work to get it all back together.
not trying to steal this thread but I wanted to put 2500 coils on my ram, is their any point in doing it if I already my level kit on. My front end sits a bit hire then my back in at the moment. just curious if any point in doing this or not. Thank you. sorry not trying to jack your thread
