Depending on the size of your level, you my need to compress the springs, other than that basic hand tools and a couple jacks I put in diesel coils, so same procedure basically, not too hard to do at all

I also went Coils, but 2500 gas engine coils for 1.75" lift
I'm thinking Ramcountryboy using the Diesel coils got closer to the 2.5" you are wanting.
Not a hard install at all and cheap

I think with 2.5in you may need to compress the springs, or disconnect the trac bar, which I think compressing the springs would be easier, thats the route I went. Maybe someone on here who has done an actual level kit will chime in and say how they did it

Just clamp those bad boys on there and wrench em' down till your spring fits in, and back em' off. Like I said, I used diesel coils which are stiffer, idk if you will have to use them or not. They might make it easier than fighting it anyway

I just put a 2.5inch level kit on my 97 dodge ram 1500 sport and didnt need to compress the springs at all. but it was work to get it all back together.

not trying to steal this thread but I wanted to put 2500 coils on my ram, is their any point in doing it if I already my level kit on. My front end sits a bit hire then my back in at the moment. just curious if any point in doing this or not. Thank you. sorry not trying to jack your thread
