Sounds kind of like clockspring - but haven't heard of one going bad on its own. Do those things connect to CTM (does an 02 have a CTM?) Just guessing at this point.

I would say its the beginnings of a failed clockspring.

what i was thinking... or the wire harness again.. well might as well do it when i replace the dash... sad to think it is a 2002 with 70k miles... dash is furbed... the 96... has a 150k and lives out side, drives down rough gravel roads daily, gets jumped, gets wet inside and thrashed on.. dash is not cracked at all.. oh ya the 2002? fully loaded cummins that if i remember correct was over 36 new.. the 96 was in the 25k range i think. what gives? oh ya! 2002 evap core is toast... 96 one is good...2002 has steering clunk with all new front end, 96 doesnt, 2002 has crappy paint and gets waxed 2 times a year, 96 is beautiful and gets trsashed on, 2002 has saggy headliner and has gone through 2 trannys, 96 is tight and tranny is original... wtf? ok rant off now.. just saying though... oh ya!! LSD is good in my 96, in the 02 it lost the clip... hmm front end in the 96=150k and i just rebuilt it, 02? 65k and needed rebuilt.. oh well.

back on topic how can i test the clock spring? suppose i should go out and do a gauge cluster test to rule out any issue there. i know the wipers and signals worked. cruise works, but horn and stere steering wheel controls dont.

I have a 2002 grand caravan with Airbag Light on, Cruise control not working, and also the Horn doesn’t work. Any suggestions!
