Put the rear up on jackstands, put it in drive, and back probe C1 pin 8 at the PCM, and see what you are getting. BE CAREFUL. Have a friend to help..... (safer that way.)

I would hook it up to a scanner that displays the speed the pcm thinks your doing... that way you can determine if your failure is before or after the pcm...
A $20 elm327 adapter from ebay and an/ or Bluetooth phone or laptop can be used if you dont have any type of scanner now... I use one with my android phone and an app called "torque"...

I have a scanner that displays live data. It spits out a code P0500 and the scanner feedback says the truck is not moving. Can someone tell me which is c1, pin 8? I'm fixing to jack it up..

If (heaven forbid) it is my PCM going bad, whats the difference between a bad flash and bad PCM? And can any PCM get re-flashed to my truck?

Connector 1 is on the right side, if you are standing in front of the truck, facing the PCM.

Pin 1 is in a corner, and is probably empty on yours. (coil driver for V-10) Pin 8 will be in the same row, Gray with Black trace.

Okay, here are my findings.

Engine off, ignition off: no voltage, 8 ohms resistance.

Turned on: no resistance, .5 volts

Would not crank while probed

Removed probe, cranked, 5th gear, idling

Probed, almost no resistance, engine died.

Gah, I KNOW the 'correct' values are somewhere in the service manual, for, for the life of me, I don't seem to be able to come up with them at the moment.

I looked at the service manual, no specs....

However, the grey/black wire is the speedometer driver, correct?

Wouldn't I need to try the speed signal, the white/orange wire?

Current findings:
In first gear, plugged voltmeter into RWAL sensor, no deviation in resistance. Had a friend turn the tire very slowly to check again, still nothing. Showing wery little resistance. Thoughts?
