Default 99 Ram stalling out

This has been happening for awhile but only every now and then until this past weekend. It will start and die. I have to get it on the road and open it up to get it to stay running, but still will die the next time I get in to start it. What could this be?
Thanks

Clean the throttle body first, paying particular attention to the iac passages.

IAC passages? If its not that then what? Keep the engine pretty clean. Only does it now and then but more so lately. ran fine all day then pulled into Walmart for 5 in and it wouldn't start without pumping it then had to floor it to keep it from stalling at the stop sign then its was fine but turned it on and off at home and it stalled again.

Well if you "keep the engine pretty clean" meaning the TB + IAC is spotless as well, then the IAC motor should be tested and/or replaced. But if it's not clean, it takes like a half hour to take off the TB and clean everything, so post back after you do that.

And I am surpirsed HeyYou did not mention this........pull upstream O2 sensor ou =t and see how it runs. The IAC port is in the throttle body. Crap in there will prevent IAC motor from o]doing it's thing!

Remove the negative battery cable before performing the procedure.

Sorry I didnt get back sooner. Took the TB off last weekend and cleaned it. When I took the spacer off and looked at it I realized the gaskets were blocking some of the airflow. Cut them down so the spacer could work right and put it all back together. Wondered why I never saw a difference with the spacer. Now I know the gaskets were messing up the airflow. Starts and runs so much better. Can actually feel a little more throttle response. Will have to see if the mpg get any better. Thanks for the tips.
