I did notice from the pictures that there seems to be 2 plugs near the waterpump and maybe it is just my perspective but one seems bigger than the other..... is it possible that Dodge used different size plugs on the same engine?

Thank you all for the help.
Initially there was so much steam blowing out that it was difficult to see exactly where it was coming from on the engine block and I was thinking head gasket or cracked block.
Next day coolant was seen spurting from the area I circled that you all called a freeze plug...... average annual temp here is 82F.
You were correct..... it was the plug...... plain rusted out.
Question..... will you get circulation without the pressure?..... top hose got hot and bottom hose was cool with cap loose and engine idling for 10 minutes..... gauge read 170 constantly.

Yeah, the pump will move coolant regardless of system pressure.
