Default Engine Tick Consistent With Engine RPM (warning: novice at work lol)

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site, and I just bought a '99 Ram 1500 with the 360 in it (gas engine just for info). I've noticed recently that I have an engine tick that's consistent with engine RPM, and I've also noticed late shifts (ie hitting O/D at around 3000-3200 RPM). I've just filled up with 93 octane gas (filled up with 87 previous times), have run Sea Foam through the system on first fill-up and now Lucas Deep Clean on the 3rd. Oil has been changed in the truck before I drove it off the dealer lot, and has close to 199700 on the odo. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also of note: water isn't leaking into the oil or vice-versa, and the oil isn't "gassed out". All other fluids look normal. Once again TIA for your advice

Could be a lifter or a exhaust leak

I see, and from what I've seen on some of these posts, both are recurring problems with 2nd gens right? Will definitely get it to my mech to check.....

It doesn't sound as if it's in the bottom end, almost sounds like it could possibly be in the heads, definitely not a clunking like you would hear in a "death clunk"

Pull the valve covers, and have a look at the rockers.
