Default MY 97 1500 wont start.

I was out of town for a few weeks, when I came home my truck wouldn't start. Im getting no spark, the fuel pump and ASD relays are not turning on. I checked the relays with ones I new worked so they are good. I changed the crank shaft sensor. The motor is turning over, my gauges work. Does anyone have any ideas?

If the fuel pump doesn't prime, and the ASD relay doesn't trip, it ain't EVER gonna start. Need to find out WHY those two events are not happening.

Does the CEL come on when you turn the key on?

Moving this thread to the tech section as well.

Check plugs and connectors on the wiring harness, and look for broke/chewed wires.

I have put new plugs and changed the battery. Has anyone heard of a PCM going to sleep?

This probably sounds dumb, but check all your grounds and make sure they all have good contact

Ahhhh.....No. Checking the grounds is a good (and free) idea. Specifically the one near the water pump. Make sure there is no corrosion on it.

If youre getting no spark, and the fuel pump isn't priming, your truck will never start

Should decently fix those things first, just a suggestion. No need throwing money around untill you actually know what up
