Fuel mileage is crap!
I had a 1996 5.2 4x4 from 2004-2008. The only mods I had were 24# 4 hole injectors, MSD ignition box and coil, edelbrock headers and an edelbrock pro-flo air hat...plus the mopar 92 octane PCM. Had 3.55 gears and 33s.
Best mileage after top off, drive then re-top off to figure fuel consumed:
310 miles/21.8gallons= 14.2mpg
My 2001 360 saw 8.9 mpg city before I got it up to 11.4 city. However, my truck is ridiculously high with highway driving. 70 mile trip with only 10 miles being under 50 MPH (stop and go, actually under 40 mph), I got 17.8 MPG.

did you try lucas fuel treatment? i get it from parts source usually on sale there. on average gain one to two mpg not much of a gain but it all helps. rumor going around in sask that gas is going to 1.50 -1.60 a liter by july any kind of talk like that in alta? was planning to go to b.c this summer
Rumors have it at 1.30 to 1.40 a Litre over summer if these prices keep getting run by our fellow oil executives in Alberta
BC gets 8-10c high than us for carbon tax. Try my best for full tank in Alberta before heading there for vacations, road tripping etc
Just shake my head. No excuse for our current prices with the barrel barely above $100
Never forget 2008 paying a 1.45L. Fuel tank fill up on my jeep cost me
$60 before prices jumped, and ended around $90-100 when it peaked that high.
I was surprised how much it was costing me extra per tank all summer

Anyone know if BWD parts is Borg Warner??
I've been pricing out map sensors and I have found BWD parts and Standard Motor
Prefer to get Borg Warner myself but I'm having a hard time getting these parts here??
Found a distributer for shops but no part stores yet
I've tried Auto Value, Parts Source, haven't called NAPA yet
Also, is there 2 oxygen sensors?? getting told there is possibly 3 of them
Checking my repair books and the FSM

When it comes to sensors on these motors I find it best to go with OEM parts yes that means dealer parts.
I have a full set of sensors made by BWD and Echlin and I have swapped them out for OEM parts, yes it made a difference.
As for the how many 02 you have best is to get under the truck and count them. Those can be NTK from NAPA.

The dealer is a joke man
Can't waste my money on them for parts
Honestly, prices were $80 for BWD and $136 on standard
I'm going to guess the dealership will push $200
Going with NGK 02 sensors, only $80
What did you pay for dealer?

i found the dealership has come down in price.egr for a 5.2 89.00 at the dealer 140.00 aftermarket. fuel pumps around the same price at the dealer as aftermarket. i would get parts from the dealer than from aftermarket, you get what you pay for.
I don't know if you guys use ethanol or e85 up there. Here in Iowa, all pumps cheapest grade is the mid grade with ethanol blend. I use plain 87 octane & get nearly 24% better mileage with it. I would not put any kind of ethanol in my tank ever again because although it is cheaper at the pump, you will pay a lot more to go the same number of miles as you would on regular 87 octane. The difference in octane is 1 thing that makes ethanol burn off faster, but it also burns even faster because of it's thermal properties & lower boiling point. Ethanol is a giant rip off. I would also suspect a retuning with an aftermarket chip was done, then the chip removed before it was sold to you without the retune being removed.
.. price from dodge: 1400$
i wonder if it comes with the whole exhaust system.... LOL
and I got a stainless magnaflow direst bolt in high flow cat with pipes for $181.00 shipped in two days to my house part #23285 (also from ebay)
I also paid over $140 (with employee pricing from a friend) for the dealer governor pressure soleniod and sensor... when those plugged and failed 4k later I bought the better borg w setup both for under $100 on ebay...
crank position sensor cost me under $30 shipped.... local autostore wanted 45 with their markup..
You guys find some crazy prices...those are meant for thelazy folks who dont do their homework, are in a bind or dont own a computer...
