Yes But, the Rislone has NO products/chemicals in it that swells seals or clogs anything, like BarsLeaks does. That is my point. Doesn't matter who owns Rislone now. It's the same product it has been for a 100 years. LOL

Rislone was introduced in 1921 by Shaler oil company.
Purchased by Bars in 2006.

You can also use a quart of ATF in place of a quart of oil to clean the engine.

My vote is scrape the crud off with a kerosene solution, put her back together, use Rotella T and half a can of seafoam for 100 miles. Before dropping the oil, add a quart of kerosene, idle for ten minutes, then drain, change the oil and filter. Fill with Rotella T, use the other half of the seafoam, run 100 miles, then do another kerosene flush before the oil change. If the 100 mile oil changes come out dirty, then consider repeating the seafoam/kerosene treatment until she cleans up. Run Rotella T for the first pure oil change as the higher TBN and diesel additives will handle/suspend the crud better than gas oils. Good luck

Don't run kerosene in your oil pan. It is a solvent, and will break down your oil. You run a serious risk of roasting bearings that way.
