Is this much oil crud normal under the intake barrel?

I'll definitely try with the Rislone. Probably won't take the oil pan off, seems like a lot of extra work at the moment, not know if the engine will start back up at all. Maybe later...
Also, I've replaced the PCV valve and made a "funny" discovery: The hose from the valve to the intake, as well as the "nub" on the intake that you connect the hose to were completely clogged. And I don't mean "some buildup", I mean I had to use a powerdrill to get the crud out of that connector and a long wire to clean the hose out, it was completely full of dried oil crud. Amazing how much build up is in this car's engine, really...
