Default SCT Tune?

Can somebody explain to me how a SCT Tuner works? I've tried researching online and I couldn't really find what I was looking for. I have a 1998 Ram 1500 Laramie SLT. I've installed a K&N CAI, Heddman Headers, I've adjusted the shift points, and I put stacks on. Would an SCT Tuner work for me?

Uh, you plug it in and follow the onscreen directions. And how did you adjust shift points? The TV cable I assume.

Yup! Made a huge difference! So, does it come with tunes pre-installed? Or do I have to take it to a tuner?

What if you already own a tuner?

You can get JUST the tunes emailed to you, and upload them to your tuner. Chat with Hemifever, he can set ya right up.

Really? Alright, thanks guys, that was pretty much the only thing I was worrying about. This seems like a great website, I plan on visiting more often(:
