Default Transmission going out???

Lately my truck has been acting up and now it is getting worse. From a stop to acceleration, I really have to step on the pedal just to start moving foward. It almost seems like the parking brake is on. I was on the highway today and 55 mph @3000 rpm, it wouldnt shift. Had to take the side streets home. Jacked up the rear, smooth rotation and it ran smooth. Jacked up the front, noticed the upper and lower ball joints are worn, was suspecting the wheel hub bearings worn but there are good. Would my ball joints cause my truck to drag or is the tranny going out?

That's a trans problem. Along with the above questions, how many miles on the truck?

Looks like a lot of work done to the truck. I see no mention about anything being done related to the intake manifold though.

My truck has 152,000 miles on it. The engine was OH aprx 2,500 miles ago along with a tranny service. The tranny was repaired at the dealer arround 40,000 mile, it was slipping still under warranty at the time.

So no work was done to intake? I'd check your cat before jumping into the tranny.

What about the cat? Was it checked? Do you know if the gasket was blown originally? Did you replace o2's?

Cat n 02 sensors good. Checked the DTC and pulled 0753. Checked my transfer case oil level and it is good. Unfortunetly the tranny oil level is almost bone dry, hopefully there is no permanent damaged.

In that case, you need to replace the TCC/OD solenoid unit. Sounds like it is in limp mode. And you do not need to take the VB off to replace.
