Default 5.2 oil leaks.

The 5.2 litre in my 2001 Ram is leaking at the front, and rear seals.
It's using about a half quart of oil a week.
Will something like Motor Medic, or another additive help?
Whats the best one to try?, will it harm the engine, (clog small passages?)
It only has 115,000 miles on it now.

Thanks.

Replace the seals. Granted, it is more work than just dumping something into the oil pan.... but, it's pretty much guaranteed to work the first time, without unfortunate side effects. Front is pretty easy, rear is a bit more involved.

The rear seal isn't all that bad to replace either. I'd say the biggest PITA is getting the starter off. http://www.pavementsucks.com/tech-article-31.html

Not a hard job to do at all. Def replace them and avoid the band-aid fix. You know how bad it hurts when you rip off a band-aid . Well it hurts alot worse on our trucks when that band-aid comes off.
