Ouch. Low oil pressure is a good indicator of excessive wear in bearings. That bites...

Im going to check cylinder compression soon. Im hoping to get away with doing the bearings and not doing a complete rebuild for the time being... I guess we'll see

Even if you DO have low compression..... so long as they are 100 pounds, or, in that neighborhood at least, you could just do bearings, and call it a day. Would get you by for a while.

go to your local rental place a rent a engine picker if you go on friday you can get it till monday for the same price

Thanks for the info guys... This is route I will probably go..

What will I need? Compression test kit, Caliper/micrometer, fresh oil, pan gasket, a few pages out of a manual... Anything else guys?

I'd go ahead and get enough oil and filters for 2 changes. After about 500 miles on those fresh bearings you will want to change the oil and filter again. Be patient with it and take your time :-)

Just need some plastigage to check bearing clearances.
