Default 94 1500 2WD, rear ABS problem AND A/C question

Hi guys, I got a ABS light on
I downloaded the service manual and got the code from the controller
this is where my confusion starts, when I ground the connector by the brake pedal the ABS light flashes 2 quick flashes, over and over and never stops
until I unhook the battery

it says in the service manual that you get a long flash and then short flashes and you count the long flash and the short flashes to get the code
I don't see a long flash, soon as I ground the pin it starts flashing two quick flashes.

now I know code 2 is: 2 = Open isolation valve wiring or bad control
module.

I replaced the rear sensor first thing

so anybody who's worked on these help please!

oh and my a/c quit working, I charged it up and it worked great for about 1 day.
i think there is dye in system and I got a light and glasses and don't see any glow anywhere, is there a common problem spot I shoudl look for?

thanks

Probably the valve with the two solenoids on it, up by the brake booster.

Check the evaporator core..... not an easy exercise...... as it is cleverly concealed inside the heater box.

They do not come with leak detection dye, so if you did not put it in there, it probably isn't there.

And +1 on the core. Don't know about the cleverly thing, but hidden it is!

Default thanks for the quick replies

A/C:there is a sticker on the radiator support that says dye was added, can't read the date on it.
the system was almost completely empty when I got the truck
guess I should get some more dye for it.
and check out the evaporator.

ABS: I think i'm going to hit the junk yard and get some used parts and do some swapping out

thanks for the suggestions

Try this for the codes. http://dodgeram.info/Engine-Gas/OBDI/pcm_fault_code.htm

AS far as the evap core goes, no amount of dye is going to help. You simply can't see the core. The system needs to be charged and then the use of one of these(or similar) is the only way to know if the evap core is leaking.

Default zman, thanks but

those are the codes for the pcm, I'm working on the ABS, it's controller is seperate and has it's own codes, which are located in the service manual that I downloaded from this site. I was really looking for clarification on how to read the codes.

thanks for the info on the refrigiant sniffer, I'll see if I can locate one of those, I know a couple pro mechanics that may have one

thanks again for the help

Got it from a wholesale tool vendor I know. And it was a while ago , so I don't remember how much it was.
