No power that i am seeing on the third eye from the white to black when the brake pedal is pushed the rear tail lights work as they are supposed to. There is voltage from the pink to white wires. the whites also don't come on when I put it in reverse its. The only time anything on the third eye works is the whites when I turn the headlight switch to cargo. I'm thinking I'm going to remove all of the tape from where the cap lighting was hooked up and take all of that out. This isn't a serious issue i just want to get it fixed cause it's bugging the hell out of me.

The white lites on either side of the third eye are indeed cargo lights. They do not come on when put in reverse. (unless you turn them on with the headlight switch. )

If the third light comes on when you push the brake pedal and the white lights turn on with the cargo switch what is wrong then? It seems to me that it is working.

It does not light up for the brakes according to his posts.

I found the issue and thank you for all of your input and assistance. The problem was with the wiring for the cap third light. It wasn't made up at the tail light but grounded to a bit of metal behind the light. Whoever installed it ran the wires from under the driver seat where the main wiring harness is. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to light up in reverse I just figured that because I have seen some trucks (newer) that have that function. Thanks again for the help.
