im all for inspecting vehicles if they would do it correctly and with some common sense. I have seen plenty a vehicle driving down the road that looks like its being held together with duct tape and big chew bubble gum, and somehow they pass. I know its all about who you know and yada yada but if its such a big deal then why wont cops pull you over for anything related to inspections other than windows being to dark.

Probably because they are 'certified' to inspect vehicles, aside from window tint, or obviously non-functional equipment.... so, they can't do anything about it.

Or, maybe the inspectors union had something about that in their contract......

nah i had %2.5 on my old dakota and when i got my inspection i just rolled them down no problem. I didn't realize the great state of Texas had inspections... Guess they don't care about lifted trucks then. Maine is gay like that.

My parent's had an old Chevy Pickup, I guess it didn't have a muffler on it and my mother got pulled over and ticketed for "noise pollution" in North Carolina.

haha yeah, i got pulled over in Maine for noise but i had mufflers. 5.2 with headers and true dual 40 series flowmasters. It was unbelievably loud. The cop didn't believe I had mufflers yet couldn't see under my lowered truck. it was funny to see him crawl on the ground trying to see.
