was told my speed sensor is in my tranny. so how do i get me speedo to be accurate again?

 

The rwal sensor should take care of it. If it is off it will only be around 2 miles or so. When you change tires is when it can go haywire. A performance tuner can help.

 

He has a 97, speedo gets it's cue from the VSS in the trans, which, fortunately, is gear driven. Change the gear, and you are all set. Transmission center sells the gears, and even has a chart to help you pick the right one.

I think it was in 98 that they went to the rear wheel speed sensor doing the speedo also.... and since it reads from the tone ring, changing gears doesn't affect it, tire size does though....
