That's weird... I have gone through 2 sets of 285s. Id hate to put stock size tires... id probably never get any traction. To the OP try some oil on the tires and see what happens

Pour a little gas on them and light them with a propane torch. That'll burn them!

Well something is not right , because stock tires should light up with no problems at all , almost as easy as lighting up geo tracker wheels and tires .

It doesn't take much to spin mine on dry concrete. It's just a 318 no mods with 3.55 gears and 285 tires. I guess it's a bit different tho with mine being a 5 speed. If I just rev it to 2k and pop the clutch they usually break loose then give her hell

Try replacing your plugs. I just replaced mine when the last time I did them before was 2 years ago. Before I couldn't spin my 33x12.50s and now I can do it like nothing.

My 97 with jet chip duals and 318 would burn the 285s off.

Good news guys I changed the oil and plugs the other day followed by some slight showers so I figured Id give the brakestand another go and those tires light up like the 4th of July. They smoke half way down my road to haha. I got a new set of Goodyear TripleTread's coming soon so ill be blowing these bad boys away very soon.
