Burning Rubber Help
doubt it.... and if you dont switich to 4.56 gears with those 35"'s you can almost bet it wont....(not to mention mud tires have softer rubber which sticks more to pavement) hell the tranny will be under enough additional stress that would be a good way to put the nail in the coffin...

deathflash is exaggerated hype.... beekers dyno runs show that deathflash is about 4hp and 20lbs of torque less than a 93 octane sct tuned truck.... if anything I think its the torque management removal everyone mistakes for "massive power" gains with an sct...
lastrights wasnt it you who was doing burn outs and then something seemed to break and it started popping when you tried?

So basically, JUST getting rid of the deathflash and torque management. Still and all, nothing to sneeze at.
The way I understood it it was deathflash compared to 93 octane canned tune.. .. then after beeker went back to Sean a couple times and had him tweak the tune (custom tune) he was able to get 11hp over stock deathflash but his torque either stayed the same or dropped slightly... either way the way people go on about the factory updated tune (deathflash) you would think it would be more than the 1 or 2 hp difference it really is from a non deathflashed stock tune...
Here's the thread. Check the charts in the first post.
I will agree though, I would have liked to see more power from the tuner, as I suspect results on the older trucks won't be quite as good, as torque management doesn't seem to be quite as exposed in them. Would love to see dyno results from a 96-97 truck...
My guess is, the power difference between the stock tune, and the SCT tune, would scale rather nicely with complementary mods.

Good news guys I changed the oil and plugs the other day followed by some slight showers so I figured Id give the brakestand another go and those tires light up like the 4th of July. They smoke half way down my road to haha. I got a new set of Goodyear TripleTread's coming soon so ill be blowing these bad boys away very soon.

I don't do it often though...like was said earlier...them tires are f-in expensive! $300 each!
he can do a redneck turbo!
duct tape a leaf blower to the intake tube and start pushin some boost!

*disclaimer* I take no responsibility for damage done to your engine/head gaskets should you decide to try this ridiculous idea!
