I have to find out the month and day that my 94 Dodge full size ram was built. Can I get this off my VIN/Serial number? If not, where would I start looking. Thanks

There's a thread floating around somewhere with a link to Chrysler that will send you your complete build sheet for the truck after you fill a few things out.

Does the build sheet really tell you the day?

Here u go.
1st digit is where it was build
2 is the world manufacturer code
3 the make
4 and 5 is car lines/ series
6 is body style
7 restraint codes
8 engine type
9 is check digit --- do not remember what that is exactly
10 is model year
11 plant
12 - 17 is production sequence number
VIN does not show day or month gatta look elsewhere

Just for the record no geek here. lol Had to learn it for my service repair class or mechanic school

Only plant production records have the date. And these records are not available. Door frame sticker gives month and year.

Build sheet is developed in production planning process, used for inventory management, and then released to production to meet production schedule and parts availability. Build sheet then follows vehcle through production process. Sicne it is genereated long beofre vechile hits the line, it cannot have build date.

Olde-goat, out of curiosity, why are you needing the date?

And the first digit of VIN is country of origin.
1 = United States
2 = Canada
3 = Mexico
