trouble with 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.2 v8

Make sure to use shorter bolts, or, washers on current bolts for the plenum. They were a bit too long from the factory.

ok man so im chinging it till tomorow but ill start today...i went to buy the gaskets and then the truck shut off 3 times while driving....i would put drive and my truck would turn off and had trouble turning it on.. algo while accelarating i could hear some squieking on the engine...after i came home the check engine light came on and it threw the code p1391...im so stressed dont know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Changing the plenum gasket is not the end of it. If the gasket is blown so is the cat.

P1391 Interm Loss of CMP or CKP

The would definitely cause it to stall..... since both sensors are new.... I would take a look at the wiring from sensor, to PCM.

the crankshaft is new but not the cam sensor..ok i just called autozone and supposibly it doesnt have a cam sensor..also i took the manifold and found out deres was a gap beetwen the manifold and block...also took out the plenum gasket and it was carbonated and it was in pieces.,..

It's also called a pick up coil.

well i just change the plenum gasket and it got worse it overheated and possibly blown head....but thats it im selling and getting something else thanks for ur help anyways really appreciate it
