Awesome intro. You might put all the info about your truck in your sig. And profile if you post from a phone . The trucks are not ALL the same you know. For instance, 2wd and 4wd trucks have completely different steering components, and diagnostic/troubleshooting
suggestions are not the same for both. However, I doubt the pitman arm is the problem either way. Especially if its a 4x4.

could be a few things. some that come to mind:

bad steering stabilizer. any time you hit a bump in the road, the steering might shake a little bit.

bad ball joints. might not be holding the steering knuckle straight and might shake coming around a corner.

could be joints on the drag rod/ tie rods.

go underneith and start pulling/pushing on different parts of the steering/suspention and see if anything is loose.

And another thought...piulsing when returning to center could be a pump issue. Does changing rpm make a difference? Does it so it at idle but not at 2500 rpm?

WOW!!! You 2wd guys have a ball type joint on the end of your pitman arm??!? Crazy duuuude.

If the truck is 4x4 the pitman arm will not wear out unless someone didn't tighten either end. Or ran it over with a tank.
