hey guys quick question i have a 98 extended cab 1500. with the doors off a 96 standard cab be a exact fit? and if so will the mirrors off my doors fit on the 96 doors? (i don't care for the 96 mirrors even thou there power. i'm having rust issues and found a junkyard with great prices. i've already got a perfect front fender for 40 bucks ang plan on going back tomorrow for the doors they only want 60 bucks each complete with panels so i can convert mine over to power windows and locks.

i don't have any rear doors on mine wish i did thou it would make replacing my cab corner alot easier. also woule the speedo cluster be a direct swap from the 96 to a 98? it has the tach and mine doesn't. and since i'll allready be there in pouring rain i mise well grab it to
The doors are a tricky one to replace. I replaced the driver's door on my 2001 regular cab. Look at the bottom rear of the door - is it squared off sharply, or is there a curve? Mine has a curve & I had to get a door to match. I found a door from a 1996 extended cab that had the same curve, but newer extended cab models did not. The only real issue I have is that the door I put on it is a little taller so the lines are not so perfect to look at, but it operates just fine.
i'll have to check them i just got them home from the junkyard. couldn't find a cluster that would work thou. the way i see it around here a good door is going for 300 each on craigslist and i only have 120 into the set so i would make out but i'd rather be able to use them and upgrade my truck to power windows locks and mirrors

Best way to know for SURE......get parts manual download, go to bidy section, doors....and look at the chart. It will have key numbers to indicate which body the doors will fit. Mya have to download the BE and BR manuals. (BE - Extended and BR- Regular) If part numbers match, you are good, if not, they won't work.
