I almost want to use it as a center piece in the house instead of putting in the Jeep it is so pretty.

Encase it in polyurethane, and use it as a coffee table in the living room.

I'd go for it but I'm not real sure my wife would. Someday when I have the ultimate man cave I'll build me another engine and do that.

Yeah, wives can be picky that way.... but, look at it this way, once it was set in place, not like she would be able to move it.

Well don't expect anymore work on the Jeep until this weekend. Daughter has a concert tonight at school so my night is tied up and tomorrow I have to put together the new grill that I just got. Guess you can call it an early Fathers Day gift. Here's the grill- http://www.bimart.com/skudetail.aspx...Grills/Cooling

Hopefully I'll have the transfer case out this weekend and then I can get working on getting the engine pulled next week sometime.

Wildman, seems like when you and Hey You were kids (I was driving then), they had this V8 model (1/4 size you could put together and paint). Saves bucks on man cave decorating. Nice job. K.

Edit: Yeah..........I got one of them kinda memories (you & Hey You are 53, unless you've had another bday).

TinCan57,
Are you sure about that? I ain't no spring chicken like some of these kids on here.

I had that model of the SBC and the Mazda rotary engine. Someday I'm going to have a man cave that I can decorate with engines and junk. Right now I would just love to have a little bigger space and a higher ceiling so I could have a lift. It just take money!!!

Well I have spent the past 4 days with my internet going in and out with OUT being more than in. We live out in the country so have Hughes Net satellite service. The installer hadn't installed the dish correctly and we had some real high winds the past few days that had knocked the dish out of alignment. So the repair guy that came out moved it and set the 3 legs of the mount correctly. Now I have internet again so can post up some stuff.

I haven't gotten a lot done to the Jeep this week other than removing the front and rear drive shafts. Today I decided to work on making my mount for the IAT since there isn't one on the Air Gap. Now I had a throttle body spacer that had come with some other parts I had gotten off Ebay a long time ago. My plan was to drill and tap a hole in the spacer to install the IAT into it.

So after looking at all my options I decided I'd install it in the rear of the spacer directly below the IAC. The IAT is a 3/8 NPT so you drill a 7/16 hole and then tap it for threads.

Started to tap it with this palm ratchet and that worked at first.

If you look at how the IAT is installed in the keg intake it sees the air temp of all the air which is why I decided to install it in the middle as opposed to one side or the other. This way it will get to see the air of both barrels of the TB instead of just one.

Let me know if you think I am going about this wrong. Always welcome input from all you guys.

Nice updates there WM...even the BBQ that is awesome. Your updates are way better than mine. How do you like the new grill anyways?

I think your choice of the IAC location is pretty good.

OK I went back out to the garage after dinner and finished tapping the spacer. I wish I had better taps because this almost kicked my butt. I did finally get it done.

It's close but it is going to work. And there is an added benefit to all this too.

One thing some people complain about is that the throttle bracket hits the bolts. By using the TB spacer the throttle bracket doesn't hit the bolts anymore.

I'm headed out Sunday on a camping trip to go play with my Wildcat for 4 days. Then come home for 2 days because I have a doctors appointment and then head out with the daughter for a 5 day camping trip and runs with my Wildcat. When I get back I have to really get my butt in gear and get the engine swap done because I would like to take the Jeep on our family wheeling trip in July. Has to be ready before the 4th or I'll end up using the CJ 5 again this year. And the wife and daughter are on my butt to get it done because they like to ride in the TJ better.

WN,
The grill is great. I have been without a full size grill now for 2 years. My old grill got broken during the wildfires around my house. I haven't had a chance to try out the smoker yet but have been reading up on it and want to try a few recipes.
