I'm already thinking about swapping to a 8HP70 for a few reasons.

1) According to those who went from the 545RFE to 8HP70 say it's a game a changer.
2) Supposed to transmit the power much better
3) No shifter cable- So then no clearance/routing issues around the exhaust
4) Better gear ratios

The hardest part will be figuring out how to mount the shifter since I'd have to run a Charger/Challenger shifter

Shifter is just a series of switches on those, aren't they? If it is purely electrical, you could just put a **** on the dash somewhere.

Yes it's all electrical. I'll figure it all out if I do swap to it.

Well it's been a while since I've posted anything about my Jeep here... I sold my old Magnum V-8 harness to a fellow TJ owner who did a 5.9 into his Jeep... He's having some idling issues and I suggested he comes over here and post his issues for help... Hopefully he does.

Went wheeling a few weeks ago with another TJ owner in Reter Foothills Near Index, WA

OOPS.... Fell off the bridge

Got to use my rebuilt winch for the first time

Jeep worked great.

Tried to take some rocks home with me.

I'm leaving for Windrock ORV park near Oliver Springs, TN to go wheeling with my son & grandsons during their spring break... We've been planning this since June last year... Looking forward to seeing them too.

I got my shifter for the 8HP70 a couple weeks ago... IT's going to look great once I've got it installed... It's made by a company called Kilduff.

There are lights installed underneath the shifter to light up the cutouts.

The lever on the side is a Park lockout when wheeling steep climbs. If I need to shift from Drive to Revers in a hurry to keep from doing a backflip.
