Default Tps $150??? Wtf

Been having this issue when on the highway trying to pass or going up a hill in OD. Will press pedal down a little bit expecting it to downshift...nothing..press down a little more..nothing.....nearly floor it and ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE...

Am i wrong to expect that with a small throttle blip it should pop out of od?

Anways...called dealership and they said new TPS WAS $150....seriously? Seems like a huge ripoff.

There are a few things you'll want to get from the dealership, otherwise price around. I only call the parts dept. for laughs mostly.

You should really only use OD when on nice flat ground and cruising. If you haven't fixed your plenum yet then you should read the sticky on the 2nd Gen page, as it likes to foul out plugs, O2 sensor's, clog cat's, crack heads, rob your wallet, etc... all which rob power.

Yeah thats the right way to go about fixing the issue seriously, if its as bad as he claims he has bigger issues to address... of course he has no info listed so for all we know he could have oversized tires with stock gears which will definitely cause his issues and tear up his tranny doing it...
TPS sensors are around $30 shipped at many places online... like stores on ebay....dealer pricing are for those that are uneducated in economics or are unjustifiably fearful that everything that doesnt pass through a dealership for 100 to 400% markup is inferior somehow... or afraid of computers...

I have put my info in my signature twice now and it keeps disapearing, not sure why.

99, 1500, 4x4, 5.9L. Plenum fixed with Hughes kit, truck is mostly stock, no oversized tires, 3 inch lift and a CAI.

New O2's new plugs, wires, cap, new cat converter.
